Warm Welcome to Nairobi

A warm welcome on arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Nairobi, where an English-Speaking driver will escort you to the hotel where you will spend the first night.

Nairobi is an energetic, modern city that serves as a fascinating introduction to both wildlife and culture. Shops and Markets bustle, and a mix of restaurants will tempt your palate in this former Maasi watering hole. “The Green City in the Sun” which Nairobi is popularly known as, with the name “Nairobi” coming from the Maasai phrase Enkare Nyirobi, translates to “place of cool waters”.

From the City to the Bushveld

After breakfast at the hotel, a professional English-Speaking driver will transfer you to Wilson Domestic Airport for a scheduled charter flight to the Masai Mara.

The flight from Nairobi to the Masai Mara is approximately 35 Minutes.

Enjoy a warm Masai welcome when arriving on the dirt airstrip where a dedicated game ranger from the lodge will collect you and drive you through the reserve to the lodge. Enjoy the spectacular game viewing on the way to the lodge.

The Masai Mara National Reserve is a land of breath-taking vistas, abundant wildlife and endless plains. The quintessential Masai Mara safari delivers many attractions, as the reserve is home to an excellent year-round concentration of game, including the more than two million wildebeest, zebras and other antelopes that make up the famous Great Migration.

Spend the afternoon at the lodge in preparation for an afternoon game drive and dinner under the stars back at the lodge later that evening.

Enjoy the Masai Mara from a different view

Today you will have an early rise, but it will be totally worth the amazing views you will have when travelling in a hot air balloon over the Masai Mara Reserve.

Experience the beauty of the Masai Mara as you sail above the reserve, privy to daily rituals of the wild in their natural habitat. Sweep your eyes across the panoramic plains and discover the fantastic features unfolding before you.

Enjoy a champagne breakfast after the hot air balloon flight and make your way back to the lodge to relax for the rest of the day before this afternoon’s game drive.

Dinner can be enjoyed back at the lodge this evening.

Experience the Culture of the Masai Mara

Early wake up this morning with tea and coffee before heading out on a morning game drive through the reserve.

After the game drive, head back to the lodge in time to freshen up and get ready for the Masai Cultural Visit.

Established as fierce warriors, their lively cultural dance, vibrant clothing and beautifully crafted handiwork are recognised worldwide.
